Project of a steam thermal plant with a design pressure of 10 bar. This system replaced the existing one which even if working fine was too old and not in line with modern efficiency and safety standards. The system was placed in the same room of the old one. This was possible without having to stop production thanks to a temporary generator installed outside of the technical room.
The layout was laid out as clearly as possible, considering the peculiar workflow involved, so that it would be impossible to tell that this was a makeover and not a brand new installation.
The new thermal plant is equipped with 3 six ton/hours steam generators and run on natural gas. It supplies several production units directly through its high pressure (10 bar) manifold and by a pressure reducing system, through its low pressure (3 bar) manifold. The plant can run unattended for up to 48 hours since it complies with the latest CE-PED norms.
We used high quality parts in the making of the system: high efficiency generators, chemical-free degasser, modulating burners equipped with inverters regulated with sensors on the exhausts, instruments for continuous monitoring of water quality and triple eccentric butterfly valves.
